About this episode
Having seen Christopher Nolan's Odyssey we are so disturbed by his violation of Lupita Nyong'o's Helen that we must revisit another ancient Helen... one who gets her due. This episode originally aired as a four part series in July 2022. What if Helen of Sparta was never taken by Paris, never brought to Troy at all? Euripides' Helen explores a "ghost theory" of Helen, an eidolon theory. AVAILABLE NOW! The Odyssey: a Modern Retelling. Submit your question for the next Q&A via email or a voice note .
