About this episode
A Cherokee 'How and Why' tale which explains why turtle's shell is cracked. It's beautifully told by storyteller from the Cherokee Nation, Gayle Ross. Warning: there are moments of violence, and things do not end at all well for the wolf in this story. Some listeners particularly younger ones might find it unsettling.
