About this episode
Michael Beckwith, founder and spiritual director of the Agape International Spiritual Center, joins Lewis Howes to argue that racism, homophobia, and religious fundamentalism are learned responses to the idea of otherness rather than innate traits. Beckwith describes religion as a boat carrying a person toward the transcendent, then distinguishes belief from knowing.
