About this episode
The hilarious Melissa Rauch joins host Jessica Radloff to discuss how she landed the role of Dr. Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on “The Big Bang Theory.” Melissa shares her journey from the unemployment office to one of television’s most beloved sitcoms and reveals how she developed Bernadette’s iconic voice (spoiler alert: it’s not her real voice!). She also reflects on the “Big Bang” audience, which she describes as “electric” and unlike anything she had ever experienced. Plus, she explains why she considers co-star Simon Helberg to be “mind-blowingly talented.” All episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” are available on HBO Max. © 2026 WBEI.
