Mike writes "It was the middle of summer, and I was out riding my bicycle. My parents had gotten distracted and busy with other things. I think my mom was asleep, and nobody was really paying much attention to me. It was around 10:00 or 10:30 at night, and I was still outside riding my bike. Our house sat right on a corner intersection, and about 150 feet behind it was my granddaddy's workshop. He was a carpenter and a farmer, and he had built this long, rectangular, shoebox-shaped workshop that was probably about 75 feet long. On one side of the workshop, he had added a lean-to shelter where he kept his tractor, hay bales, and other things. On the far back side, he had built a horse pen.…
